Water Bottles, Water Bottles Everywhere, So Let’s All Have A Drink!

I’ll buy a water bottle a month from an expensive place or go to Costco and buy the 12 pack of the litre and a halves for $4 and that about the most I’ve ever bought in my life.

I am at the peak of my water bottle buying life.  A couple of years ago I moved into a place with a friend and we’ve decided to buy a Brita, sure why not I don’t mind a cold glass of water, I don’t really care if it’s filtered or not.

I then moved into a place and had a bunch of guys others, my roommate in my previous place took the Brita when we moved out of our house.  Two people asked me, do you have a Brita?  Is the water safe to drink?

I was talking with a friend who moved into a dorm @ Seneca College and he had three loads to carry from his car, clothes, computer, and water bottles.

When did the water in Toronto become so bad that everyone just assumes they can’t drink out of a tap.  I remember hearing about Walkerton and thinking thanks god I live in Toronto.

I’ll admit now, in my house I have a Brita and it’s the most annoying thing in the world.

-It doesn’t hold that much water

-It refills slowly

-It pours slowly

-Numerous times I’ve been pouring the damn thing and the top would fall off and spill the stupid water everywhere

Well, I’m taking a stand.  I’ve enjoyed Toronto water as long as I’ve lived here, going on 23 years and that’s all I’m drinking from now on.  I’m buying a Dollarama jug and filled my water straight from the tap!

Though:  I’ve been at a few apartments in TO and the water in some of those places starts off yellow and slowly turns clearer after time.  I guess it all depends on the region or your specific situation.
