Video Editing

I was tempting to buy a mac after seeing a quick half hour movie a guy from work, made.  I thought it was one of the coolest things I’ve seen and wanted to know exactly how he did it.  It was a home movie from a camping trip, with a coold intro that was shown in ‘fast-motion’ to a cool Benny Hill track.  The was also good, excellent editing, titles, and an awesome credits section @ the end.  So before spending the $3000 on a mac, I thought I would see what my IBM x60 thinkpad could do.

I first tried the Ulead products:  VideoStudio / DVD Factory.

Pro – Easy to use, good range of effects

Con – Doesn’t work so well when trying to add advanced stuff.  Not really for me

Already I am changing my mind about this wrongly coined Web 2.0 app.

I am currently in a phase were I think honesty and openness shall rule;  I switched from IIS to apache, Access to MYSQL,

Open Source

My MSN name from Naveed (A teenage love on OLP) to Kevin.

Honesty or perphaps better worded maturity

And now reverting back, changing the blog title from my name to my alias.

When will the my phases simply become my lasting lifestyle, why do I switch from liquor week one, beer week two, scotch week three, wine week four and celebrate that I think I have a great culture in the alcoholic arts by drinking all together in week five.

When will my love for apple juice come back.

Days when I went to a restaurant and my bill for food was the bulk and not a distance second.  But don’t get me wrong, adapting to these different ‘arts’ is what I attribute most of what I have today through some direct and indirect reason.

Tomorrow, why e-looping in Vegas, or preferable and cheaper City is the smart choice for Torontonians

Finally a blog

Never though of doing this before, and I’m sure that no one in the world would ever care what I have to say, but feeling more and more like my rants need  to be published.  This was an easy way to do it.

I like that I don’t have to open dreamweaver to update this thing.  But I’m sure it will end up as my Palm Pilot, Video Camera, Digital Camera, Snow Boarding Equipment, Endless tools that I see @ Canadian Tire for 50% off.  I will set it up quickly and use it fiercely and then the sexiest will be gone.  The feeling of new and adventurous will be replaced by tried and mundane.  So let see how this plays out.
